They don’t serve fast food, they serve up good food as fast as they can! That’s what current owner Nikki Williams tells me. She also offers online ordering and call ahead for easy pickup, so you can skip the wait!

Growing up in the food service industry and working with US FOODS for years, Nikki has a wealth of knowledge about what it takes to run a successful restaurant. When Spuds went up for sale in 2019, she saw its potential and became its new owner!
Over the years, she has worked to reimagine Spuds with her own brand and style. Some upgrades include two outdoor patios, which greatly expanded the capacity and functionality, plus a new bar area with a selfie station for lasting memories with friends!
Today, with a full parking lot and folks lined up around the building for take out, Nikki’s vision for Spuds has became a reality, with more updates and upgrades on the way!

For my recent visit, I sampled a few of Spuds most requested menu items:
Cajun chicken nachos, chips with chicken, queso, pico, and Spuds sauce. This was the Tuesday blue plate special.
Bacon Cheeseburger, with bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, mayo, ketchup, and mustard.
Potato Logs, you can order 3 or 6. Of just for you, 3 is plenty. They are huge!
Fried Chicken Spud, topped with chicken and stuffed with, cheese, chives, and bacon with sour cream and butter on the side. This was a masterpiece of craftsmanship!
Goldchos, inspired by a friend and loyal customer, are fries loaded with fried chicken, nacho cheese, ranch, and gold sauce, then topped with jalapenos.
THICKIE Specialty Pizza. Hand tossed crust, Red sauce, Mozzarella, Sausage, Beef, Pepperoni, Bacon, and Ham.
Homemade Onion Rings
This was a very tasty representation of what Spuds has to offer. I can’t wait to try a Spuds loaded Sweet Potato, and one of their fresh Taco Pizza’s! Both sound delicious and very intriguing!
Cajun chicken nachos were the daily special during my visit. They are totally sharable but after your first bite you’ll probably keep them all for yourself!

The Cajun seasoning gave a good kick without being overpowering and had enough sauce, cheese, and chicken for about every chip.
If you’re just wanting an all American burger then the Bacon Cheeseburger is available. It comes with all the traditional toppings that meld perfectly into a simply delicious meal. Just add a side with drink and you’ve set.

You must try the potato logs! They aren’t your average potato wedges you find in the local convenience store hot box. These are cut from the giant potatoes used for Spud’s signature dishes.

I was told the potatoes not sold the previous day are saved, sliced, battered, and deep fried to make these monster sized potato logs. They are served with house made Spud’s sauce and Ranch dressing for dipping. The texture and seasoning of each slice was on the money and the two sauces were enough to last till all were gone.

The Goldchos I’m told is a huge seller and I can see why! It was beautifully built and totally tasty with most of the major food groups represented! It’s a full meal for one or a delicious shareable for two!
Now, I could write an entire page about how awesome my homemade onion rings were! I was definitely eating with my eyes before taking my first bite! Each ring was like a perfect “deep fried” snowflake, no two the same. Their batter dripping and frozen in place once dropped into the hot oil. Then I dipped them into Spuds homemade ranch before savoring every last morsel.

The crew at Spuds strive to treat everyone like family. I felt a true sense of community as I watched the owner and staff address customers by name as they arrived and departed after enjoying their meal.

Speaking of family, Nikki has placed works of art throughout, but my favorite is a black, hand stitched, custom jumpsuit encased in glass. Living in the land of Elvis, I had to know it’s story, so I asked Nikki about it’s origins. She said that her father was an Elvis Tribute Artist. Before Nikki was even born, her mother had tailor made it for him. Now folks, that’s priceless.
For great tasting food, fun atmosphere, and good times with friends, visit Spuds where they don’t serve fast food, they serve up good food as fast as they can!
Everyone’s taste is different. My goal is to give you a glimpse of what I see and experience so you can judge for yourselves if the atmosphere and menu are right for you. So when you visit, be sure to tell the crew I recommended you. Happy Trails!!
